2022 Planning application in conservation area, Kensington & Chelsea

These proposals were granted consent- to build a garden room to the ground floor rear elevation, where glass and brick are the predominant materials, to allow reflections of surround foliage and capture internally the ambient northern light, so plants and foliage can become an extended part of the ground floor living space. The brick echoes the existing main house and allows privacy to neighbouring properties.

The materials proposed are of high quality as appropriate to this conservation area, yet they do not try to imitate the historic ones, but rather take shape in a modern and refined form.
